Hi! My name is Sandy Wahowski. I am a native Texan from Houston. I love the calmness of the beach and coastal life. The sun, sand, water, waves, and other aspects of the shore bring me so much happiness and peace to my soul. The beach is my happy place and I love recreating my inspirations through art. I have a six year old daughter named Harper that is also my inspiration. She has the best ideas of fantasy and imagination. We have even collaborated on pieces. I am fairly new at this venture. I started concentrating on my craft during March 2020 while during the COVID-19 Pandemic. I loved the therapy that art gave me and a beautiful distraction from this crazy world. During this time period, I appreciated the natural beauty of the places that I love to visit. I started painting scenes to decorate my own home and give as gifts. 
Sandytoes TX Art was launched in May of 2021 when a friend encouraged me to create more and display my work to the world. I am excited to learn more in the art world, display my work, and inspire others. 

I am also an educator in local high school in the Houston area. My students inspire me so much with their ideas and teenage wisdom. I love displaying my work in my classroom to show them that their teacher can do hard things. :) In my free time, I train for endurance events such as half marathons, triathlons, and ultra-running. I enjoy the outdoors and especially love being around water and sand.
